stepping it up

I'm tired, rundown, and worn-out
I pushed and pushed until
I realized that I was just their
Doll. A pawn in this game
Called life, but my goal isn't theirs.
I won't be held back

I have done everything
Whoever else ever wanted me to do?
And you know what?

I am done.
That's right

With everything
To do with what could be
And what
I'm going to do
"Spread my wings and fly away"

I'm down to my last dollar
Down to my Last chance
Down to  a whole new world

I'll break through the gates
And watch their chains
Fall off me along with their
Control. As I stand on my
Own in a world
